The best way to a kid's heart is through candies, teaching them about candy making will make them jump and excited. If you will notice, the usual itinerary of school's fieldtrip is on candy factory. Teachers and school staff knows that students will be delighted and eager to attend the trip if part of it will let them witnessed how their favorite candies are manufactured. Well, you don't need to bring your kids on candy factory to learn how to make a candy because you can now teach them the basics of candy making.

The basics of candy making

Candy making is very easy to learn and do. There is no specific recipe to follow. All you need to do is use your personal preferences. You can start by experimenting different recipes based on your desired taste and let others give comments and suggestions on it. The good thing about it is you can improve your recipe anytime. 

Now if you still have no idea how to start your own candy, you can try this sample recipe at home. 

CHOCOLATE CANDY RECIPE

Ingredients

150 grams of dark chocolate

150 grams of milk chocolate

  25 grams of nuts

  50 grams of cornflakes

Procedures:

  1. Melt the dark and milk chocolates by placing it in a bowl on top of the boiling water on the stove
  2. Roast or fry nuts until it is browned. Let it cool for few minutes.
  3. Blend the melted chocolates, roasted nuts and corn flakes
  4. Make balls out of the mixture using a spoon and place them in some baking paper.
  5. Place the candy balls inside the freezer and let it cool for 2 to 3 hours
  6. Serve the candy.

Things to consider in candy making

Teaching your kids about candy making is fun and fulfilling activity. You can teach your kids to experiment on recipes depending on their preferences. You can add a variety of designs and shapes using different molds. These molds can make your candy more attractive to children.
