Party season is almost upon us

Everybody loves a party. With Easter just around the corner and a Royal Wedding also knocking on the door, many peoples thoughts are turning to their own nuptials.

We have had a load of enquiries in the last few months from brides and grooms seeking help and assistance in making sure their wedding breakfast goes to plan.

In the age of new austerity, almost everyone has a budget of sorts. Many of our enquiries come through saying "can you provide a buffet for 90 people, what will it cost". The simple answer is it can cost as little or as much as you want. We need more help than that if we are to be able to help you plan properly.

So when you contact your caterer, have an idea in mind about what you want to spend. Don't be embarrassed that it may not be a huge amount, your caterer will be used to working to a budget. That being said, we would expect a wedding breakfast to be at least £4.50 per head to enable your caterer to be able to showcase his talents and also give him a decent return on his time spent preparing for your big day.

Here at Leicester Catering Company we work from £4.50 upwards for a wedding breakfast. We have recently quoted for a lovely wedding which will be simply four meats all sliced, being pork, turkey, beef and ham, new potatoes, green salads, pasta salads, a fresh dressed salmon, and followed by fresh strawberries and cream, gateaux, scones and cheesecakes all at £6.50 per head. It will be a beautiful summer banquet and extremely reasonable as well.

So if you have a wedding or a party coming up and you have still not booked your caterer you may need to get a move on as, spaces will be being filled and you may be unable to get the caterer of your choice.
