How Come That Ozias of the Bible is Uzziah Too?

This is a new series (1-8) of Verse No. in the Bible versus the Quran.

Verse No. 8 in the Old Testament says that God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

Verse No. 8 in the New Testament says that Asa the father of Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram, Jehoram the father of Uzziah,

Verse No. 8 in the Noble Quran says:  Alif l?m m?m, (Just three Arabic letters); this kind of beginning of any chapter is not found in…

------------------------

The verse No. 8 in the Old Testament is Genesis 1:8

The verse continues talking about the creation of the heavens and the earth, it says: God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

It should be emphasized that the three verses of Genesis 1:6-8 talk about the significance of the Sky in the process of the creation of the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:6 says:

Then God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."

Genesis 1:7 says:

And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so.

Then, in Genesis 1:8  God called the expanse "sky."

These three verses give the significance of the sky and its importance.

The Biblical concept is that, there was water, God made an expanse (sky) in the midst of the waters to separate the waters that were under the expanse (sky)  from the waters that were above the expanse (sky).

If we investigate this Biblical concept of waters that are under the sky  from the waters that are above the sky with reference to the Scientific facts about the cycling and recycling of waters; the result will not be in favor with this Biblical concept.

------------------------

The verse No. 8 in the New Testament is Matthew 1:8

The verse continues talking about the Genealogy of Jesus Christ, and Matthew lists Jesus' ancestors, the verse says: Asa the father of Jehoshaphat (Josaphat), Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram (Joram), Jehoram the father of Uzziah (Ozias).

Here again, we have the problem of writing the names in the different four versions of the Bible studied.

Fundamentally, the names of the people have no translation, they have to be written as they are pronounced.

How come that a person's name in one version of the Bible is Jehoshaphat; and in another version of the Bible he is Josaphat?

How come that a person's name in one version of the Bible is Jehoram and in another version of the Bible he is Joram?

How come that a person's name in one version of the Bible is Uzziah and in another version of the Bible he is Ozias?

------------------------

Verse No. 8 in the Noble Quran is Chapter 2:1, Surah Surah AL-BAQARA (THE COW), 2:1

The verse says:

Alif l?m m?m

The verse is composed by three Arabic letters, Alif l?m m?m

I wonder how they are written in the translation of the Quran as: Aliflaammeem, alif lam mim or a.l.m.

However, they should be written as they are pronounced.

They are pronounced as: Alif l?m m?m

There are many Surah in the Noble Quran which their first verses composed with just letters like Surah No.2

This kind of beginning is really amazing.

It marveled both the Arabic believers and the disbelievers.

Also, this kind of beginning is not present in any religious book.

It is not found neither in the Old Testament nor in the New Testament.

Some scholars propose some speculations about the meaning of these three disjointed letters, they have many opinions that may be summarized as follow:

'Alif stands for Allah, Lam for the Archangel Gabriel (Jibril) and Mim for Muhammad. It is also said Alif stands for Allah's blessings (ala'uh), Lam for His kindness (lutfuh) and Mim for His dominion (mulkuh).

It is also said that Alif stands for the beginning of the Name Allah, Lam for the beginning of His Name the Kind (al-Latif) and Mim for the beginning of His Name the Glorious (al-Majid).

It is also said that only Allah knows the meaning of these disjointed letters; while some maintain that it is an oath that He made.

But who knows? Only Allah.
