You will need more than just a nice looking website to sell products. The words that you use in your sales copy are the key to getting your products sold. With effective sales copy, you may get little to no sales.
Incorporating words and marketing when writing your sales letters can promote your product as a top seller. The sales copy must be persuasive and compelling enough that people will quickly whip out their credit cards and purchase your product.
Here are 5 basic tips on how writing effective sales letters can help you make money:
Only use black font when writing your sales letters. The text should be easy on the eyes. The best background to use for this is white. There are some people that use other colors, such as yellow; however, with the black text and white background, it makes the website look natural. If you decide on border, then you can choose the color that you want. Just make sure it blends in with the black text and the white border.
Create a headline that will make people take notice. Believe it or not, the headline is the most important part of your product when writing sales letters. It must catch the visitor's eye or you can forget about them reading the rest of it. You'll also want to include a subheading to add to the buzz.
Get the customer to read on by letting them know that you have a solution to the problem that they're facing. Provide them with benefits that will help them make the decision to purchase your product. When writing sales letters, it's important that you emphasize the benefits. They want to know what's in it for them. If you can't do that, then you've lost their interest.
When writing sales letters, one way to capture their interest is to ask them questions in regard to their problem. They should be questions that they can identify with. For example, if you have a product about alternative ways to calm down hyperactive children, you may present inquiries like: Is the medicine you're giving your child for hyperactivity not working? Is your child experiencing serious side effects from the medicine? Things like that will make parents think, well yes, that is happening to me. With you having information regarding alternatives, they'll want to know more.
As you continue writing your sales letters, there are certain words that you should include. These words should trigger visitors to click the order button and purchase your product. Using words such as you and your will make them feel like you're talking to them. Focus writing your sales letters as if you were speaking to one person.
As you continue to work on perfecting your sales letters, you can begin to see an increase and visitors and in sales.
