Copywriting Secrets for Excellent Copywriting

The World Wide Web is churning hundreds if not thousands of high quality articles that have never convinced and persuade customers to buy. It is such a total waste. All articles according to my observation are not created equal in spite of being identical in content except for one, the title.

As the traditional copywriting would tell that in the offline zone, the headline influences the success of the book or article as much as 95%. This shows off what makes the book title successful, whether a reader buys it or not. But article writing on the internet doesn't run that way. Mostly because of the way articles reach the readers who are interested in them.

It is a fact that people who will search the internet through a major search engines put in one to five keywords that are related to the topic of the article they are trying to search. It is the search engines that will deliver results that best match the interest of the visitor. In this regard your goal then is to have your articles become evident in the search engine results for the keywords and topics closely related to the content of your article.

How is this possible? A clever title is great if it is lucid but a clear title is always most desirable. A good combination of both clever and clear title is the best. The first words of the title will then determine the success of your article in terms of how much traffic your article will produce back to your website. Success is then determined by the rich keyword titles for your articles that match the most commonly searched keywords for your topic.

To get the right keywords to use for your article, you will need a keyword research tool. They are mostly available on the net. Some are free for the asking some are not. One of them is overture.com. "Google's Mind" has a current beta tool called "Google Suggest". Whichever option you choose, it is rather of utmost importance that you learn how to do keyword research.

To simplify my point, here is an example of a bad title and a good title. Bad title example is one which has a non-keyword rich title such as, "Top 9 Ways You Can Acquire Fractional Jet Ownership". An excellent keyword rich title would be "fractional Jet Ownership - 9 Strategies to help you Acquire Your Private Jet".

Analyzing, the excellent title example is more effective in the sense that it does not waste the first three words of the title with irrelevant garbage words like "top" or the number "9". The title gets right to the important words that can easily be found when using a search engine to research a topic related to your article.

Choose the strongest words, benefits and metaphors to move your audience to a satisfactory response your business needs most. As much as possible avoid using garbage characters in your title such as quotes, asterisks or anything else which might be hard for search engines to understand. Most of all do not engage is search engine spam technique. This means do not use keyword rich titles which has nothing to do with your article. Search engines aggressively filter out this kind of behavior.

Search engines go for smart key word rich titles. This kind of titles pays off eventually through massive traffic to your articles and website.
