People that sell products know when they write a sales letter, it is considered the gateway to a visitor's pocket. It has to be compelling enough that visitors will want to read everything and then click the order button. If they have to think about it, then they may hesitate and wait until later. Or they may decide not to purchase at all.
When you write a sales letter, you are basically advertising your product. However, you're doing it in a subtle kind of way. There are some important elements that you should include as your construct the text.
There is a formula that is used which is actually a four letter acronym:
AIDA is the acronym used for effective marketing:
A - Attention; the headline your create must provoke people to want to read more.
I - Interest; create a buzz as you write the sales letter.
D - Detail; give information about your product, but not everything.
A - Action; provide a call to action, such as "click now".
Another element to include as you write the sales letter is that you have to teach your visitors and
customers how to trust you. If they don't know much about you, it will be difficult for them to
purchase from you.
You can change that around by include your first and last name, the name of
your company and provide information where you can be contacted. As you write your sales
letter, you can also include a photo of yourself, preferably a recent one. They will realize that
you are a real person and not trying to hide behind some website.
Make your sales letter where visitors won't have to click through several pages just to get the
information they need. If you have a lot of information to share, just write the sales letter as one long page. They would rather read it like that than having to waste time clicking several pages. Having one long sales page can prevent them from clicking away from your site.
As you continue to write your sales letter, you should include a call for action. This is when you ask the visitor for the order. Let them know that it only take a few minutes to order and they will have their downloaded product in no time. Because this is the age of the microwave mentality, more people want their stuff instantly.
You may also want to include some free bonuses with your product. This should be mentioned in the text. Doing this could provide a boost in sales for your product.
As you continue to tweak your sales letter, you will learn the importance of including things that can make a visitor want to click and purchase from you.
