Contrary to what many people believe, web copywriters tend to be assigned several tasks, and a knowledge base of marketing is also crucial as this can come into the description depending on who you work for.

So what defines web copywriting? What differentiates a web copywriter from any other kind of writer and what should you expect when using a sales copywriter to SEO and create content for you?

For those of us who work daily online, it is often easy to assume that when we talk to people about writing online, SEO and ebooks etc people automatically know what we are speaking about. it's very easy to forget so sometimes you have to step back and define what it is you do and what a website copywriter can offer to the business.

You will have to have someone who can apply the skills of a professional writer and they will have to Clearly understan the content of the web site is much more than a company brochure online. Ask yourself why this organization is online, and why have they gone to the hassle and expense of investing in an online presence? Just as an online brochure? A bulletin board? Hopefully not.

You need to make sure your web writer has a  clear understanding of the products and services they're writing about, and they need to know your audience and your business objectives. Armed with this research, a website copywriter is in the position of creating information that will meet your business goals.
Skimming, Scanning and spiders

People tend to only read around 75% of the content on a page, usually skimming it and finding whether theres any relevance to them. A good web  copywriter will break the copy into short sentences, headings, subheadings and use method such as bolding text, bullets and lists. They also take into account the SEO   aspects of digital editing and integrate keywords and keyword phrases in headlines and into the body, where search engine spiders will notice the importants of keywords.The aim is to get targeted traffic through search engines via careful usage of keywords in your body and vistor should get the information they want quickly. The name of the game is to make life as easy as possible for both human visitors and search engines.

Clean, concise language makes for very powerful copy. A professional web copy writer will do everything possible to avoid clichés, and using fancy language and phrases. Just using simple english, worded correctly, coherently and in a persuasive manner is all you need. most of all don't "over-hype" the product and promise things that arent true, You need to involve humans and search engines to win business.
