Too often, companies entirely underestimate the importance of web marketing and provide too little budget for SEO expenses.  Most marketing campaigns end up focusing more on the design of the company website and not enough on the content for that site and other content sites on the web.  Of course, a great website really is an asset to any company, but if the information isn't there for the customers to find, then your website will be for naught.

Imagine for a moment that you open a company website and it blows you away visually.  Then you take a moment to really try to see what the company is all about, only to find that the owner's fifth-grade daughter might as well have written the content?  How badly does it reflect on the company when you see lines of text with poor sentence structure, multiple spelling errors, and just plain boring words?  You can only say "we're the best!" so many times before your target audience starts to look elsewhere for the answers that really matter.

It's a huge oversight to skimp on the content that your website really needs.  You should take the time to consider your particular industry and then let your potential customers know all about it.  Don't just talk about how great your company is; show your customers why.  Start building a rapport with your clients right away by giving them information they can use, even if they never buy your product.  They'll trust you more, and they'll convince other people to trust you.

When you neglect article marketing, you are giving up those valuable numbers.  The linkbuilding process necessary to move your website up in the rankings will yield no results for you.  It doesn't matter how much money you spend on your web design and web copy.  If you aren't funneling people toward your website from different areas of the Internet each day, your website will still come up short in the searches.  If this happens to you, you have no one to blame but yourself.
