Corporate Hospitality and Team Building

Posted: Feb 15, 2011 |

Corporate Hospitality and Team Building are as important to business success as board meetings and conferences. We at Holiday Inn have over 120 hotels in the UK and Ireland, offering first class facilities for team building exercises, corporate events and training days.

Our hotels offer extensive facilities for all manner of corporate hospitality and team building events, and all offer a choice of rooms which can be personalised in whichever way you choose. Popular room styles include cabaret, theatre and banqueting lay-outs, but we can arrange corporate hospitality and team building events in classrooms and reception areas too. With seating for 25 to 700 delegates, we can accommodate most occasions.

Indoors or out …

During fine weather, you can even hold your event outdoors, as several of our hotel venues stand in their own landscaped grounds, often in rural areas of exceptional natural beauty. Team-building exercises often receive choruses of groans, normally because they're either boring or unpleasant. However, we can arrange any number of exciting off-site activities including golf, paint-balling, quad biking and much more.

Corporate hospitality isn't limited to banquets and buffets, either. Spa pampering days, theatre visits and nightclub events are wonderful ways to reward both customers and staff – and all can be arranged through our hospitality teams.

Corporate Hospitality and Team Building – what's the difference?

To a large extent, corporate hospitality and team building overlap, since both involve getting results through having fun. Some companies who arrange team building events for their staff forget this, and treat it as an army training exercise. Of course, there's nothing wrong with army assault course training – it's one of the many things we at Holiday Inn organise – but while team building can be arduous, it should never be unpleasant. People may get wet or muddy, but they should still come away with a smile, having hopefully learnt something about themselves – and each other. Team building, after all, is all about strengthening bonds.

There are plenty of ways in which team building and corporate hospitality can be combined into one package, both testing and rewarding your staff. An arduous field event could be rewarded with a pub theatre trip, a meal with live entertainment, or spa pampering to ease tired muscles. We can arrange all of these, depending on the location.

Team building and corporate hospitality to suit all budgets

Team building doesn't have to be expensive – neither do staff hospitality events. You could have an annual "fun day" at one of our outdoor venues, or acting/musical workshops with, maybe, a performance at the end. Things like human chess "tournaments", and karaoke evenings are inexpensive and easy to arrange, and are both fun and productive.

For a more formal occasion, black tie events are something we excel in. Our banqueting facilities are ideal for events like award ceremonies, and we can dress the room as sumptuously as you like. We can also arrange guest speakers and live entertainers. If the object is to impress your clients, we can roll out the red carpet in true Oscars ceremony style.

Whatever your budget or style, when it comes to team building and corporate hospitality packages, we at Holiday Inn have the answer.
