Tips To Treat Your Favorite Employee

A man faces tough times just because he can't come to the terms with his partner. Be it wife, colleague, office subordinates. Things start getting worst, time becomes your enemy and the people who came to you once upon a time for help and friendship drift away. Some people tend to be close and supportive but at the back they may not be that friendly with you. All happens when you lose your temper and spoil the face in front of your favorite employee who is a champion in that workplace.

A leader in the organization has to deal with many sensitive issues. Let's assume that a top level manager orders a work that is crucial to gain a client. After two days he is burdened with a heap of separate assignments. When he comes to know that the work hasn't been done his temper shoots and he starts shouting at the favorite employee. Here we need to know how an employee becomes favorite employee to any boss. That's because he will be the best performer among all the other people in the organization. So as a boss you start giving him too much recognition that leads to growing of horns on the top of his head. Now let's go back to the previous situation where a top level manager is totally infuriated by the negligence of this favorite employee. The manager yells at him the ego inside the employee will not accept it and the person starts building grudge against this manager.

It is said that "Anger and intolerance are the enemies of correct understanding". With the alternative chosen by the top manager, the things start getting worse. When an employee starts gaining head weight he starts assuming that things in the organization move according to his wish. There are certain tips that tells a manager actually how to deal with an employee

  • Appreciate the achievement done by favorite employee.
  • Always reminding him that rule in same for all.
  • Never let him take lenience.
  • Never allow him to invade your space.
  • Never let him go too close with top management

If the worst coming over you, the man at whom you just lashed out may start forming groups within the organization. In private organizations it is always a risk to take on a man who has achieved significant target in short period of time. If this confrontation of the manager and the champion employee in the organization reaches the top management, it is like playing with an ill headed squid that hurt and kill anyone with its tentacles.

Being a top level manager have patience and maintain a good distance and relationship with your champion employee and ensure that you have his weakness point to tackle his madly wagging tail. Always remember never work for the organization. Always it is the people retain other people in one work place. If an important man is gone then whole team is gone.
