Lee Alexander McQueen was a British fashion designer who is known for his unconventional and outstanding designs and shock tactics. Alexander McQueen worked as the head designer at Givenchy for five years before founding the Alexander McQueen and McQ labels. He got "British Designer of the Year" award four times. The fashion world suffered a great loss when Lee Alexander McQueen decided to put an end to his life by suicide on February 11, 2010. He used new technology and innovation to add a different twist to his shows and often shocked and surprised audiences. The silhouettes that he created have been credited for adding a sense of fantasy and rebellion to fashion. McQueen became one of the first designers to use Indian models in London. He was also awarded the CBE and named International Designer of the Year by the Council of fashion designers in 2003. Really he was gifted with natural, creative and unique talent in tailoring. As he turned twenty, McQueen was hired to work with Koji Tatsuno, a Japanese designer whose designs are primarily made from antique materials. After this, Romeo Gigli noticed the boy's future design concepts. Then after a long time, he again decided to go back to school. He did his MA at Central St. Martin's College which is known as London's most prestigious fashion school. Though his life was too short, but his journey as a fashion designer reached great heights.
