How to Make Free and Cheap Christmas Gifts for Family Members Without Much Hassle

Besides the most classic, though overused, cheap Christmas gift idea of all time, the mixtape, there are dozens of other great presents that you can make for less than the cost of a bus ride.

If you're in a tough spot this Christmas (as most of us are), it might be a good idea to consider a free gift idea.  Most of these are DIY presents, so they'll take a little while to create.  However, none of the gift ideas mentioned in Cheap Christmas Gift Ideas will take you more than an hour to finish.

Among free gift ideas, you can't go wrong when you're offering love (either literally or figuratively).  For starters, if you and your spouse and your dog have lost your jobs over the past year, it might be a good idea to simply go with a bit of mistletoe and what you learned in French class.  When it comes down to it, Christmas is really about family, love, and realizing what's important to us.  Make a pact with your spouse: "We're not going to spend money on each other this year.  We'll save everything for the kids."

On the other hand, if your spouse will throw you out of the house for attempting to make such an agreement, you could always opt for an I.O.U. of some sort.  IOU's seem a bit pathetic at first, but you can definitely make them respectable.  For instance, you could make a little sheet with 5 vouchers for foot massages or sexual favors.  This type of gift shows that you care, but you really don't have the money to give anything but love.

If these things fit your fancy, you'll find dozens more great ideas at Cheap Christmas Gift Ideas Part 1 and Cheap Christmas Gift Ideas Part 2.  Merry Christmas!

In my hometown, the natives of the land and the Malays would usually engage in trading and sell goods that are considered homegrown in their respective places. Hence, the bartering of goods usually happens on the shore; and, most of the time these goods would include textiles. They were not just ordinary textiles, though. They were first class cloths interwoven by the very hands of man.
