I am still amazed at how even a beginner can take simple letter beads for jewelry and turn it into a beautiful piece of jewelry.
Letter Beads also called alphabet beads are extremely popular. They can be used to customise bracelets or necklaces. Names of folk, corporations, affiliations, causes, or words of support can be enunciated for all the world to say.
Letter beads come in a selection of shapes and sizes.
They are of course available in English, however Hebrew and Greek letter beads are produced as well.
Sterling Silver is the most generally used, while gold plated are still in demand.
A square alphabet bead is the most well known of the letter beads. There are three general sizes.
There are also square 5.5mm letter beads with a 4mm hole.
Rounded letter beads simply put , are just Plain Cute! Actually the smallest size which are 4.5mm with a 3mm hole are called baby rounded.
The other size of which is the most generally employed in the rounded alphabet beads are the 6mm with a 4mm hole.
The standard size for oval beads are 8.6mmx 2mm and a 1.6 hole size.
The heart formed alphabet bead is adorable. You can't look at it without feeling some'heart' felt emotion. The dimensions of this bead are 7mm x 6mm with a 1.8 hole size.
Pewter alphabet beads are yet another option to the standard sterling silver alphabet letter beads. The upside is they're more cost-effective, the drawback is the quality isn't as good as that of sterling silver.
