The Company at a glance-

Cach LLC also known as CACV operates in the United States of America. With headquarters in Denver, this particular debt collecting firm has diversified in many areas. With the help of experienced attorneys looking into matters related to debt collection this company was christened as Collect America.

Services offered by the company with emphasis on debt collection:

Buying resources, asset management as well as resale capabilities are areas where the company excels.

Debt related activities of Cach LLC:

Buying Delinquent Accounts-

The company helps individuals concentrate on their core business by activating any account, which has not been performing too well. They are capable of creating instant flow of cash.

Cach LLC has been actively involved in debt collection from many banking as well as non banking financial institutions. They include retailers, buyers as well as banks.

Drawbacks of Cach LLC:

All said and done, this company is losing consumer confidence because of certain irregularities, which it has been found to indulge in over the past couple of months.

There have been many instances when people have complained that this debt collecting company has manipulated many credit reports. A credit report is regarded as a very important record. The credit report has all information about the debtor’s credit history. It also includes his credit score.

Often there are cases when the credit reports are tampered with and wrong numbers (calculations pertaining to payment dates and amount paid) are entered into the credit reports.

The debt collection agencies benefit in the following manner:

  • By intentionally changing debt amount:

Experts are of the opinion that if the payment amount is changed, the debt collection firms some extra money in the process. In the event when payment dates are changed, the story is a different one.

  • By changing the date of first default:

It is a well known fact that the any default in payment or any negative remarks in the credit report gets recorded for a period of seven (7) years. If the debt collecting firm is able to extend the first date of default, the seven year period gets extended further. In this process, the debt colleting firm, Cach LLC in this case can extract some extra money from the debtor. In case the debtor is not very alert about the working of these debt collecting agencies, he may as well shell out some money, which is not required to be paid at all. Ultimately, the debt collection companies are benefited.

Hence, it is always suggested that if a debtor receives any irrelevant notice or statement in the credit report, which he feels is not right, it is always better to opt for debt validation. The reason being, unless a debt collector can actually prove the default, the statement or the notice will be treated as null and void.

Domesticating a Default Judgment in FL and Car Lien from Creditor
By: Sharonzzzzz | 03-08-2008
I have a default judgemnt and the attorney for the creditor (Cach LLC) said he is going to domesticate the default judgment in Florida and then put a lien on our house and cars. The default judgment is in my name only (not my husbands). First...can you domesticate a default in Florida? I've heard you can't. Second...can they put a lien on my husbands car? The title says both our names with OR (not AND). They are both paid off in full.  Third...if they do put a lien on the cars, can they then come and get them or do they have to wait until we try to sell them. Thank you.

Hard Inquiry - Employer's Creditor - Possible ID Theft?
By: Just a Staffer | 27-07-2008
I have credit monitoring. I just found out (1 week later) about a Hard Inquiry from an internet reseller. I sent certified mail to both the reseller & Equifax (the reporting agency) requesting the identity of the end user not disclosed by my monitoring service. I also requested a copy of my Equifax report. The Equifax report came in the same day as the green return mail receipt cards. The report shows the end user as a company my employer has previously used and I contacted for my employer's business. I work for a law firm and the end user is a private process service. My employer gets and (hopefully pays) the bills. I am calling the end user tomorrow to ask: Why did you pull my personal credit report? I am becoming increasingly concerned that this maybe the beginning of ID theft. I did some checking (without leaving footprints) and discovered the owner of the end user has about $150k in tax liens, is in the midst of a 4 year custody battle and just got a traffic ticket last month for driving an unregistered vehicle. How can I get this Hard inquiry off my credit report? Should I institute a credit freeze? Should I change credit monitoring services? Since the info provided did not disclose the end user, I still have not been e-notified (I found it by happenstance) and all the "Breaking News" on their website is at least 5 years old. Thank You in advance for any insights I have not even begun to think about

After you pay them hundreds or thousands of dollars in up-front fees, these companies do nothing to improve your credit report; many simply vanish with your money.
