For most of us these days finances are already overstretched as a result of the difficult financial climate and the recession, and so as much as we may want to many of simply cannot afford to give money to charity, which has resulted in many charities suffering over the past eighteen months or so.
However, there is one way in which you can give to your favourite charity without actually having to put your hand in your pocket, which means that the charity gets donations yet you will be no worse off in terms of your finances. Charity credit cards are now being used by many people that don't want to have to stop giving to charity because of their financial situations, and according to reports there was an eighteen percent increase in the number of donations being made in this way last year.
With charity credit cards all you have to do is spend on your credit card in the usual way. For each pound that you spend on the card a small percentage is donated to the specified charity, and this means that whilst you are still giving to charity through your credit card spending you do not actually have to dip into your budget to make donations.
There are charity credit cards that cater for all sorts of charities, from cancer charities and children's charities to animal charities and more, such as the RSPCA credit card or the WWF credit card. If you spend on your card on a regular basis and then repay the balance each month in full you won't have to pay any interest on your credit card spending, yet the chosen charity will still make money from the credit card company because of your spending, which makes everyone a winner.
The choice of charity credit cards that are on offer these days means that you can find a charity credit card that gives to your favourite worth cause, and the best thing is that you do not have to take any action at all, as all the work is done by the credit card company. In some cases the credit card provider will make a larger lump sum donation when you sign up to the card, which means that you can give even more to your chosen worthy cause.
