At this time of year, credit problems often come to a head. Holiday shopping can burden already overused credit cards leading to growing balances that are getting out of hand. If you are in this position, seeking credit counseling can help you determine what credit help is available to you and what you may be able to do to get a handle on your credit card debt.

In Idaho, there are several reputable credit counseling organizations you can seek for advice. These organizations have trained credit counselors who are able to help you with your credit concerns and answer any questions you may have.

If you are in Coeur d’Alene, you may want to talk to the CCCS of Inland Northwest at (866) 346-2227. Residents of Lewiston, Idaho make contact CCCS of Northern Idaho at (800) 556-0127. If you are located in or around Boise, Idaho Falls, or Nampa, call Vision Credit Education at (866) 832-2826.

Any of the above organizations will be happy to talk with you about your credit needs. They can review your budget with you and ask you the right questions to understand your financial situation. They can let you know what options are feasible and which might be the best for your situation. They also can listen to you and answer any questions you may have about any type of debt help plan that you are considering. Make sure that you fully understand any type of debt relief that you choose to take.

Through credit counseling, you will be able to get the help you need without being pressured to take any specific type of debt relief. It is important to talk to a trained counselor that knows what they are doing. Residents of Idaho deserve to receive the appropriate counseling from trained, reliable counselors that they can trust.
