After getting the credit report, you should look over through every detail in your credit report. May be there is something wrong. Is anything there printed right? You should examine if everything is printed right. Or you do not really know why there's such amount reported? If you are not sure start calling the company who report such credit. You should write letters to the creditors and also to the credit reporting agency, explain the truth and provide proof. It's very important for you to provide the exact proof about what you are complaint about. Other wise, the agency won't take it seriously. If you are lazy, just let the time takes it off as long as you know what's in your report. It will more than seven years to clean some of your mess. It might not be all of it but mostly. It's not worthy for you to have bad credit record because of your lazy. So, you should become positive on the credit issue.

If you found something wrong with your credit report, you should debate whatever you think is not right in your credit report. It's a good method to report the agency and creditors or company you owe are just human being and makes mistakes, and it is your job to look over it. Pay some of your credit with smaller amount or the one that you can afford to pay. And keep a receipt that you paid for it, because they might list it again every year. Check your credit report if some of your bills are listed many times. Take action if you find something funny and false information. Take that off and write to the agency or creditors or company. If you are tired of that mess, you could call a lawyer and let the lawyer handle everything for you. But it may cost you few more dollars to conquer the issue. On the other hand, you could save your time for the debating with the credit agency.
