Do you see a solution to the problem, can you think up something to help yourself, friends and families from getting conned online? Tell you what – did you know that it is more difficult to make money online legitimately from the country Nigeria? Did you also know that it is easier to steal a credit card than to buy one in the country? In your country, to get a credit card all you have to do is open a bank account… sometimes you do not need to. To get a credit card in Nigeria is war! Plain out of reach by the class of people who engage in these scams. First paypal & clickbank which are like necessities to make money online is out of reach from residents of the country – partly user protection policy of paypal. Paypal has decided to use the easiest option – block users from these fraudulent countries. I guess Clickbank does not support the country because Nigerians are known to sell none existent products, collect money and do not deliver… I was working on a book to teach secondary students how to use the internet to get access to the wealth information readily available online to help them in their studies. The aim of the book is to reduce the number of dropouts who then turn to online scam as the next option. In case you do not know, online fraud is kind of like a fashion in the country – musicians sing about it, parents do not care how you made your money, society also do not care how the money came and will readily welcome you  once you have a car to show for it. To tell you the truth, I do not have the complete answer to stopping online fraud, I do not like the idea that people get to loose their life's savings, children’s college money… I do not know what I’ll do if it happens to me. One cure to credit card fraud is to force the local banks in the country to issue master/visa cards to users of ordinary accounts. To get legitimate master/visa card in the country, people have to open a domiciliary a/c – Fraudsters do not need this! Finally I’ve written a book detailed on this subject. The book contains information you can not find online which was gotten by asking some of these scammers themselves… Yeah we know them, people who engage in this do not hide it. Might not get to publish the book though… Stay safe online.
