The Last-Minute Deals

While the rest of the world are interested in getting things done early on so that there won’t be any last-minute problems, a small group of people have found it more worthwhile to wait for the last minute in order to get the best possible bargain.

Such is the case of flying on a budget. While most people will lose no time in trying to find a travel agent that could get them the best seats at the most affordable price, or get to the gate an hour earlier to “volunteer” to be part of the bumped-off list, some are able to secure cheap airline tickets by just waiting to a few days before their intended departure date before booking their flight.

While this maybe a risky move, what with some airlines really filling up their seats fast, there really is some wisdom to it. Airlines, in their bid to ensure that all flight seats are taken, would usually lower down their prices in order to come up with the needed numbers. This is what people on the look out for last-minute deals are after.

Another way by which you can secure super cheap airplane tickets is to be as flexible as possible. Oftentimes, airlines lower the prices on flights that are scheduled very early in the day or very late at night. Flights between Tuesdays and Thursdays also tend to be priced a bit lower than those on any other day, especially weekends.

You can also sign up for courier travels in order to get super cheap airplane tickets. Courier travel means that, in exchange for flying at a lower rate, you would transmit documents or packages. This is, however, not offered on all fights and might involve, most of the time, some far away exotic place in Asia, Europe or South America.

You can also get chances at getting dirt cheap airline tickets by simply signing up for newsletters from your local airlines. A number of local airlines usually hold promos for a specific duration which allows clients to fly at a reduced rate. Take note, however, that this is usually on a first-come, first-serve basis and may not allow you to pick a seat of your choice.
