Good Spiritual life style of Christian living

In dealing with two ideas which seem pertinent to each other, one always finds, after much research and survey that, they actually are quite poles apart. Such is the case of how the Bible has asked one to lead a life and how one leads it—thinking that it is permissible.

In this discourse we are presented with two ideas—Christian living and Christian faith.

Trusting in God is Faith. It is the relationship with God which is sustained and motivated by one's belief that God keeps his word. Faith is being confident that God does what He promises and then accepting his grace from His son Jesus. The Bible asks its disciples and its followers alike, to have as much faith in the Almighty as does a child on its mother.

"And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch." -- Acts 11:26.

Each opening of the New Testament is replete with ‘guidelines' on Christian living. It merely states that to be the part of the church for which Jesus sacrificed himself one must do what the Bible enunciates.

Thus, to live the true Christian way one must strive to follow a path of righteousness, faithfulness, love, self-control and service to others, like the Good Samaritan.

Where having faith believes that God will salvage one from all ordeals, living like how God wants us to is merely a path to facilitate the said salvation. The most important thing to avoid is ‘sin'. When we sin we are torn apart from His love. Thus we must ask for absolution to be brought back into his grace. It is said in the holy book that being a Christian is by virtue the creation of a ‘newer self' after the destruction of the prior sinful self. However, one sins (unknowingly at best) and thus cannot reach the perfection strived for. However, if one is to live life in the footsteps of Jesus and have faith that his blood will continue to cleanse one of all his misdeeds, one shall definitely be worthy of God's love.

Thus having faith and living right are inter-dependent. Yet it is seen that in the modern world (which is so full of lies, deceit and selfishness) one is not able to live as God wants us to. Our only solace lies in true and unwavering faith that the Lord loves all and that we are his children and forgiveness is all that is required to be saved.

A Christian's life is the same as any other person's. They have jobs, families to feed and care for just like anybody else. The only difference is that they live their lives with faith in God and dedicate it to praising him by being good to others and living a healthy life.

There are many who try to live the Christian life on the strength of the faith which they exercised when they realized their need of pardon for the sins of their past life. They know that God alone can pardon sins, and that He does this through Christ; but they imagine that having once been started they must run the race in their own strength. The reality is only the faith that comes from God,can sustain us. We begin with faith and we end with faith. Jesus Christ is the faith by which we live by.

Your education, job, possessions, money, and everything else should be used to bring happiness in the lives of the less fortunate. It is said that every Christian should be a missionary.

For Religious Reading, Prayer, And Living A Spiritual Life Before I enter into a long remark and analysis on the worth of living the spiritual life, and of keeping a copy of this pocket size book The Rule of St. Benedict, I want to write a short introduction on what is the basis of my theme for the use of the book: prayer. Then to discuss the work as I see it as a contribution to ones own life of living in the world and in the light of God’s presence. --Peter Menkin, Obl Cam OSB (2000)

A great deal has been made of in alternative archaeology books about how and why our technologically primitive ancestors were able to carve out, transport and erect massive multi-ton stone blocks into megalithic monuments. Since there is no doubting the existence of these structures, our ancestors must of in fact possessed an advanced technology or had assistance from those who did (i.e. – ‘ancient astronauts'). That runs contrary to scholarly archaeology. But the questions remain.
