Lin's another job during Sichuan earthquake

We never want to suffer again, even recall what happened on 12 May 2008. The terrible earthquake killed over 87000 people, and there are at least 15 million people were evacuated from their homes and more than 5 million were left homeless.
“Who can speak Italian? We need an Italian translator”. “There is a group of Italian engineers arrived Chengdu, bringing 500 professional tents. Who can speak Italian, please call……” due to few people knowing Italian in Chengdu, the radio broadcasted on May 18 several times.
Lin lives in Chengdu with her family, those days she accompanied with her 8 year old son all the time, because the terrible shaking could happen at anytime. But when she heard this news, as one of the few people who can speak Italian, she called broadcasting station immediately applied to be this volunteer. She rushed to the airport to meet the group even without knowing where to go, how long would stay away from home... Then she went to Mianyang and Deyang with the Italian engineers to help the local schools for the construction of the big tents for 3 days. Due to their efforts the students moved to the tents’ school, and started their study again…They brought care, love and happiness there. Soon after arrived in Chengdu the Italian Field Hospital with 17 doctors and governmental staffs. Lin went with them to Mianzhu, the terribly destroyed area which is only 50km from the earthquake's epicenter for another 15 days, suffering aftershocks and mosquitoes everyday. Lin worked together with the Italian group, helped them until they finished their mission in China successfully.
Lin who wears the orange T shirt in the picture speaks Italian and English fluently. Her pronunciation is very beautiful. Not only an experienced China tour expert but also a knowledgeable, responsible, good-mind, charming lady, Lin is outstanding. We are proud to be her colleague, to be her friend.

We are also very grateful to the help of the Italian government and their people.
