LIVE IN THE EXACTNESS OF PRESENT AND SAY NO TO DISTRESS

" Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate th emind on the present moment"                         ________  The Buddha

Understanding , acting and living in the exactness of present, is a powerful source of happiness and a tool to control an emotional disorder, as well as to be in charge of the mind itself. It is similar to an emergency brake which saves the human mind from disaster.

In most of the cases anxiety and fear comes out from out lining the future not from the exactness of present. It is the worry of future which leads human being towards anxiety and distress. Our mind explores ideas all in one unit regardless of a time frame. We divide the ideas into a span of time and then we feel the worth of its divided expression. In its real sense the flow of our thoughts in its own are not framed in time, but in our conscience our thoughts appear in a time frame. After the division of the thoughts in a time frame we consequently become victim of it and are continuingly obsessed with them.

The mind naturally rests when it lives in the exactness of present. The present situation, the present environment, the present surroundings, the present physical appearances the present movements or actions are the cradle where the mind takes rest and it tries to cope with its own repairing system. Stressing all the time up on the future creates both happiness and worries but the quantity of worry and fear scores more than the happiness. The mind is of the nature that it will be at ease and integrated when focusing on the exactness of present. It is why because it requires more adjustment with the present rather than the future. It is an ally of the present, and likes to live with the present. If the mind runs, acts, and lives in the present undoubtedly, it enjoys a non-creative, non-hypothetical, non-imaginative mode, which is for the ‘time being' more precious than the thoughtfulness. It always enjoys, takes rest and feels free in this situation. Tagore the Noble prized Indian poet discovers it as an stagnant and sealed condition of mind where nothing comes in or goes out of it. He calls this state of mind as ‘a mind with out fear'. Mind never tires in present, it tires only when it becomes stagnant with the future which it has hypothetically assumed. Thinking future is inevitable, natural and unavoidable, but to become a salve of future is undesirable and harmful to both the mind and body. Imaginations, creative imaginations, predictions and planning belong to future, but living more and more in the future and forgetting the present makes a man impractical. So in order to achieve peace of mind we have to maintain balance in our thinking, we have to look for the exactness of the present and escort our selves to the world of happing in our surrounding. This will undeniably lead us towards happiness.

The above assertion is not contrary to the worth of thinking, predicting and controlling the future. It only emphasizes the need to mould the mind towards the present when it is in distress or in anxiety. In the modern world mood disorders and anxieties have become the common source of mental illness. A patient of mood disorder always wanders in future. He escapes the realities laying near by and hide himself in the bang of the future. Most of the time the fear of future drives a man towards the up coming problems which may or may not happen. Our mind has an affiliation in time with our body. The more farthest the mind  will run after the future the more it will be victimized by distress. On contrary to that the more it will come closer to the present , the more it will repulse to its normal state and it will enjoy to live in an stress free zone.

Living in the present is similar to the awareness of our physical presence in the surrounding, movements, gossips and actions. This mental state can be achieved after focusing thoroughly up on the work we are doing in the ‘present moment' or a work we have to do just with in minutes. Once we have finished a work, in the mean time  we should strictly concentrate up on the another work just adjacent to the previous, regardless of a low or high importance.  May be the next activity is to go to toilet or drink a glass of water or taking a cup of tea, of talking to your child, or reading a newspaper etc. If you are sitting in your office and you are going to toilet you can concentrate up on the thing starting form your table to the toilet. Don't think about the task you have to do after coming out of the toilet. In the way to the toilet you can look and think up on any thing which attracts you. When you are in the toilet concentrate up on the things  in side the toilet. You can look and engage you mind up on the tape, it's deign, soap, shower, tiles, mirror, towel, or any thing which is there. Don't think what you have to do tomorrow. If you want to drink a glass of water, be conscious that you are drinking water. Drink water with full action, with a sense that you are drinking water. Don't miss to think up on the glass, look at it thoroughly,  while drinking you must feel that the water is slowly going inside of you stomach through your throat, and you are feeling it's movements. Don't think your tomorrow's job at this moment. If you are talking to your child concentrate up on him. Listen him. Talk to him. Look up on his face, his hair style, his style of talking, his hands, his cap, his shoes etc, don't detach your self from the scene by running ahead of the moment. If you succeed in keeping your mind attached with the occurrence and exactness around you, you can overcome your distress very fast. Once it is in practice you will feel your self composed, at ease and calm in every situation.

The secret of awareness or being in the exactness of the present is a theory derived from religion where each and every action of a man falls upon God with it's full consciousness and conviction. Religion safeguards a person and pursues him to  live with the situation he passes through. The religion revealed for the welfare of the mankind "Islam" safeguards the psychological interests of the man kind guiding them to achieve the art of living with full awareness and conviction and to act always in the present. The idea is evolved from the word ‘worship' where a man stands in front of God with full sincerity realizing Him as the creator of the Universe and praying him full attention to achieve His favor. This practice undoubtedly  intensifies a man's self image and leads his mind to stay with out fear. It articulates the need of being confident and integrated with the mind and body.

I have practical evidence that through practicing the awareness of time and action narrated above a man will be able to eradicate his anxieties and can gain happiness in life.

Although it looks hard to practice, but surely, it comes in practice through continuing attempts. Once it comes in practice, it sets a cooling affect up on the mind, and the life becomes easier to pass, as well as it is the means to control the mind it self. When the mind is controlled the person becomes a powerful being in the universe, and his  distress and anxieties are conquered by contentment and joy.
