Is this the End of the Euro?

Posted: Nov 24, 2010 |Comments: 0 |

I have been saying for months now that the Euro Zone and their troubles is like a huge boil being covered up and sooner or later it will come back and burst…. it looks like the next few months this could actually all come to a head.

Obviously we don't know anything for sure but with Ireland now taking a bail out and several countries tipped to follow suit in the near future questions will start to be asked as to whether the Euro can actually stay??

My personal thoughts are that for one central bank to cover such a vast variety of economies is plainly stupid and has been an accident waiting to happen for a long period of time… How can the same fiscal policies be used for Germany and Greece/Ireland it just is not going to work.

Clearly it would take a very long time for the Euro to disappear but I certainly would not write this off as fast becoming a possibility which should lead to the Euro losing strength in the short term as and when more problems arise.

What you may find in the lead up to this is the Euro weakening significantly as traders and investors run fast from an increasingly 'riskier' currency into the so called 'safer havens' like sending money to gold in Dollars or just shifting money into Swiss Francs, potentially even Sterling should the U.K start to turn a corner.

Be aware that the coming months will be very important for the Euro as a whole so if you do have transfers to make it is imperative you are in regular contact with someone that can assist you throughout the whole process.
