3 Clues to Find Out if You Have a Chance to Get Your Ex Back - Part 2
"Let's be friends" are words that are way too often used after a relationship has ended. We do not want to be friends with our ex partners, we want to be lovers again, be together again… friends we definitely do not want to be!
Wait! If they still want to be friends and keep in contact with you, it is another clue that there is hope for your relationship.
The amount of contact after the "let's be friends" can be important.
Obviously if there is no contact whatsoever after these words were uttered, we wonder if they meant it. If we want them back we will have to work harder to be friends from our side.
(Children or shared property do not count as contact, although it may in its turn lead to other conversations/contact from which both can benefit).
Contact in the form of a personal phone call, text message, a short e-mail or even a surprise visit can mean something totally different.
Either they really fear losing our friendship or… and this one is not so good…. they hang on to us as an emergency backup in case their new relationship also comes to an end or nothing comes along.
This leaves us with conflicting emotions. Do they want us back or not… is it worth to try again if they talk to us the one day and send signals and just the next day they do not even answer the phone or tell us that there is NO RELATIONSHIP ANYMORE..
Stop! Think again… would they really stay in contact if the relationship were really over and done with? They will never tell us or admit it because they do not want to feel that way, but it means we are still number 1 in their lives.
As long as they keep in touch, they feel unsure of how their current relationship or life will turn out without us.
We can turn this into our favour and have them back in no time at all.
