Valentines Day is approaching at a fast pace. Once a year us men start to sweat and we find ourselves wondering what to do this year which is going to be different than the last year. Other than booking a table at your favourite restaurant. It is time to start your creative juices flowing, and by actively searching the net for ideas you can create the perfect evening.
Your imagination can run riot if you have the money but if you are on a budget like me. Then you will be well advised to keep it simple. By planning your day, and organizing the house and finding the right present. Do not be afraid to display affection during this time, So here is how:
Flower Power
It will be a lovely surprise for her to walk into your flat with you presenting her with a bouquet of gorgeous sweet smelling and colourful flowers and you will have placed some love notes of reminders of the times you have spent together. She will be thrown into a mild ecstasy and will be wondering what is in store for the rest of the evening.
You have set her mind rolling in your direction. With that the evening should have some good feeling. You should consider placing candles, pot pourri and incense to conjure up a romantic dinner setting. Assuming you have cleaned and tidied your flat. Otherwise you will loose momentum.
Recreate Your First Date
My first date with a previous partner was completely disastrous but there was a moment when we accidentally touched each other by accident and we fell about laughing. It broke the ice eventually and well need I say more. So, recreate your first date no matter what the location was or whether it was a disaster. The reason being that your first date will always mean a lot to both of you.
So, either remind her verbally while having dinner or a symbol of that time or awkward time you came together and are still with each other. Have a gift waiting for her at the table, and do not allow her to open till you have had your dinner.
Romantic Songs for the evening
If you have a special song for both of you, the chances are that you probably have it already. I advise you not buy any compilation cds either. I believe most people now have a computer at home. They all come with a music programmed for play. The best ones are itunes, windows media player and win amp. All you need to do is buy a few songs from itunes and more than likely you will have some good music to go with the night. Create a playlist for 3 hours.
It can be repeated and your minds will not be solely on the music. It should be gentle, melodic and with a good rhythm. When you feel the beat you might want to dance after your meal to even get closer to your partner. Aaaarhh!
Unique present
Depending on your budget, it will be a great idea to find a present that is unique and she will more surprised that you made the effort. The kind of present you buy will give her some indicate how seriously you view the relationship. Things that are used only for a short time will show you are only passing by.
But if you do spend on an ornament whether a necklace, bracelet or wrist watch this will mean more to her. Another caution: be sure to have sent her a card or an ecard to remind her of the forth coming event.
Chocolate Fetish
Not many people dislike chocolate apart the pleasure of tasting, it can raise your activity levels to a new height. It is an aphrodisiac and we are blessed it tastes so good too. After your meal. Melt chocolate into a bowl and use fruit to dip and serve each other. It can be sensual and yet very satisfying.
You can look up a recipe webpage for the correct way of preparing it. It can be eaten in a more comfortable setting like in the sofa with cushions for support.
Bathroom before bedtime
As I mentioned earlier placing pot pourri, candles and incense in the dining area is good. But do not forget the rest of the evening. Where better than having the same dose in the bathroom too.
She will be visiting the loo at some stage and will be invited into your bathroom with lavender, lemon smells which she can savour. It will add to the celebration, and she will be happy to know her partner has really thought things through.
So, remember when the night is almost ended, you can have a sensational shower before going to bed.
