The compatibility can be determined without even physically seeing each other but all the same, even if things don’t work out, the camaraderie has been established.

Of course, there is a down side to this kind of communiqué. Teens should be careful on who they are communicating with because at this day and age it is easy to disguise oneself especially through the internet. Since the person is far away, there’s a tendency to lie about certain intimate things. In the end, teens may end up not really knowing the person on the other end of the computer.

In the end, it is always up to the better judgment of teens on whether they want to elevate this communication into something serious. In fact, it is advisable to bring someone, like a good friend when meeting the online correspondent. If the person has nothing to hide, then it will not be a bother.
