If your photo makes a good impression your visitors are more likely to read the rest of your profile and want to know more about you! These are the results you want!
The photo on the main page of your profile should be of you and you alone. Save your group photos, the photos of you and your children, you and your pets etc. for another area.
Ladies, tone down the theatrical makeup. Please stay away from jet black eyebrow pencil, mascara, and eyeliner. It doesn’t photograph that well. If you normally do not wear makeup, I suggest you go to your nearest department store’s cosmetic counter. They will show you all you need to know.
Please watch the cleavage. It doesn’t say “sexy”. Instead, it says “cheap”.
Avoid the “big hair”.
If you are over 30, do not wear your daughter’s makeup. Avoid trendy colors in both makeup and hair colors.
Guys, please take care of the “uni-brow”, the nose and ear hairs. If you have facial hair please make sure it is neatly trimmed. Do not let your moustache curl into your mouth. If you are unusually hairy, please shave down your neck hair to avoid looking like you are wearing a fur collar!
I can hear some of you now! No, I am not trying to change who you are. But you don’t want to limit your choices by being in certain categories.
Once other singles get to know the real you, give someone an opportunity to get to know you before they judge you!
