Decision making is another field which lets people know how much of respect you need. Being sure of yourself in making decisions and not wavering will make others get confidence in you.

Dressing is a key factor in getting respect. Dressing casually when you are at work may be alright but, for those people who are in a good position need to dress well to get the respect they actually are supposed to get. Conveying a professional appearance will earn you more respect than what you thought of.
