Forget What Women Want - How About You?

As a man, it's very important to work out what sort of women you want. Without doing this, you may end up accepting the wrong sort of woman. As John F Kennedy once said, "Once you say you're going to settle for second, that's what happens to you in life."

So, let's ask you the all important question "Do you know what sort of women you really want?" If you answered no, we'll stop for a moment and work on it together. Grab a pen and paper or open a new file in your technology device to complete the following exercise:

1. Describe your perfect woman.
2. Describe what you'd prefer in a woman in terms of emotional, social and physical characteristics.
3. Describe what you don't want in a woman in terms of emotional, social and physical characteristics.

Now that you have that mental picture of your ideal kind of woman, do yourself a huge favor: The next time you are interacting with a woman, ask yourself "Does she meet my criteria in terms of looks, social intelligence and emotional qualities?"

If not, then don't settle for less. I've improved the quality of women I date and get into relationships with because they can tell that I don't just accept any half-decent looking woman who happens to show me some interest. She either meets my criteria or I lose interest.

That's not to be a male chauvinist. It's to be someone who lives and exceptional life, surrounded by people that I love, admire and respect. When I meet a woman who displays some or all of the following traits, my attraction for her diminishes rapidly...and she notices.

- Lazy (including lazy attitude, mannerisms, etc).
- Afraid to try new things.
- Dishonest.
- Tom-boy/a woman who behaves in a masculine way.
- Physically masculine-looking.
- Emotionally cold.
- Socially unintelligent.
- Ditsy/bimbo.
- Cannot break free of her false social persona.

A woman with a diverse personality is very attractive to me. Jerry Hall (the former wife of Rolling Stones lead singer, Mick Jagger) was famous for saying: "My mother said it was simple to keep a man. You must be a maid in the living room, a cook in the kitchen, and a whore in the bedroom."

I love that quote because it personifies the diversity of women I am often attracted to. You should work out what sort of women you want in your life. Trust me - once you do, women will notice that you don't just accept anything.

However, if you are not also behaving attractively (e.g. being confident, using humor, making great conversation) and presenting yourself as a viable option for women, then they won't really care if you don't like them!

It's like a woman that you find unattractive telling you that she's not attracted you. You simply wouldn't care. So, while you need to work out what sort of woman you want in your life, you also need to work on the following about yourself:

- Great conversation skills.
- Ability to flirt and use flirting body language.
- Have strong, social confidence.
- Be an alpha male.
- Use humor in a way that attracts women.

I recommend starting with your most difficult area to develop, while also learning a number of fun techniques that you can use right away. Personally, I worked on my confidence and masculinity (being an alpha male) while also using a number of flirting and humor techniques.

In addition to becoming more picky with women, this saw my dating life change and instead of being the guy who always had to 'chase women', the tables finally turned.
