Another thing that should mutually exist between the two of you is respect. Respect each other. I actually think if you do not respect someone you have no business being in a relationship with them in the first place. Respect each other, do not criticize your mate in front of their friends or family member. You might not like what the other person's opinion on something but you should respect them enough not to discredit it before his or her friends. Disrespecting each other will not do you any good, it will actually drive the two of you further away from each other.

When you disagree about something, you should not call him or her names. He or she might be an idiot and ungrateful and you would like to scream this on top of your voice but you should never. This is because you might all start throwing insults at each other and there is no telling how much far you can go with it. You might end up saying something so mean. Words once said cannot be taken back. They might even stick with your partner and they might not be able to see you in the same light again. Refrain from name calling your partner.
