How to Get Your Ex Back in 3 Steps

The hardest time in a relationship is right after breaking up. A break up doesn't mean the relationship has to end, but it does mean you need to figure out what caused the split. Before we go on, whatever you were just thinking about doing, stop. If it was to call your ex and leave a message or swing by their place of work, don't do it. It's time for you and your ex to take a short break. I know you don't want to hear it but you are both hurting now after whatever caused you guys to split up. This is a separation period of about one month where no contact should occur. If contact is unavoidable, such as working in the same place, then this is acceptable. That may seem like a long time now, but it may yet feel like yesterday once the month is over. The reason is you both need to cool down. You need to get your mind's clear so you can talk to each other rationally and with a cool head about what happened.

During this month you will need to get your mind off of your ex. You can't move forward if your mind is caught at the fight that caused the break up. It's possible your friends already know of the break up and want to take you out to make you feel better. While fun and hanging out don't particularly sound like the thing you want to do now it's actually in your best interest to take them up on this invitation. Your friends can help the healing process and make you feel better, if only for a little while. Let them be your friends and be there for you now.

After the separation period is over you will need to develop a plan of action to get her back. In order to prevent random arguments that may occur you need to have some idea what you want to say and how you're going to say it. By sticking to your scripted outline that you have developed while making your plan you can better prevent getting into another fight that can put back where you are now or end the relationship for good. The plan is one of the most important final steps in getting your ex back and should not be skipped or overlooked. It's so important that choosing to fly by the seam of your pants or "wing it" is highly discouraged. If you can imagine putting all this time into waiting for your moment, taking the time to regain some confidence from your ex,and then when the moment comes all that results is another heated argument and fight, you will be much more thankful you had a plan rather than trying to reason as you went along or with the flow of the conversation.
