He knows that he can find another woman as good as the one he has and if not he is perfectly capable of living on his own till he does.

Okay, I met this nice fellow who worked at a high-end sports clothing shop. Immediate impression was he was gay -- neat, tidy, well groomed, slightly feminine voice. This person also turns out to be a fly fishing guide. Spends entire summer sharing small cabin with other male fly fishing guides. I hire him to take me and my hubby and son fishing. Our humor (I'm a woman) is very similar and we have a blast and he starts flirting. Next, he starts calling me just to say hi. Then he show up at my office to say hi. Then he professes lust and love via an email message. I'm flattered and confused. By the way, he is a writer. He worked for a major newspaper covering gardening, the arts and hunting/fishing topics. He is pursuing me even though I am married. I really like him as a person and the friendship turns into a brief romance -- mostly email, three very sexual encounters, then angry break up. During our one-month relationship, he disappears to visit friends, family and I never know where he is. This was a dumb situation to get caught up in. I'm left wondering if this man is struggling with his sexuality? Perhaps going after someone like me (married) was a diversion? I wish we would have left it at friends. Now he is just angry and friendship possibility out of the question. He is a struggling writer, he lives in his parent's cabin and just seems miserable as he puts it "because he couldn't sustain his love for me...and this makes him doubtful about himself on many levels..." I just saw this whole thing as a bad and reckless decision made by both of us in the first place. I think my "friend" is gay?
