Not sure where to begin but my family (an aunt, uncle, a few cousins, and closest brother) dislike my boyfriend.  We have been together for 7 months.  The few times me and him have been with the above mentioned family member there was a lot of alcohol involved and my bf got a bit obnoxious.  My brother is my best friend and things got crazy last weekend.  He threw a full can of beer in my boyfriends direction as we were leaving the bar (which we left because my brother's friend told me that he was upset because my bf was there) and nearly hit him in the head.  Now, my brother is not a violent type of person at all and he had been drinking a lot that day, not saying that is an excuse.  That was not the first night that he has told me that I deserve better.  My other family members (that were mentioned) have blantantly told me that they hate him.  I am so very confused right now with what I am feeling.  I feel like I am never going to be able to bring him around my family, which I am very close to my family and it hurts me very much to have this happening.  Its not fair to my bf that this is happening and that I can not square away my feelings.  Prior to this incident I attempted seducing him and he couldn't perform, which put a damper on our sex life, which has upset him but I don't have a great sense of self confidence so I can not go through being rejected again.  I'm numb right now and need some advice from anyone as to what I can do to figure out what I am feeling or how to make this better for everyone if we are to stay together???
