Right after a breakup your mind is thinking for anything it can to mend the rift and get your girl back. There must be something you can do that can improve your situation or get her back in your arms. Your mind is in overdrive trying to think of that perfect thing that will work. Before you start acting without thinking it through you should know some mistakes people make that can hurt their chances of getting their ex girlfriend back.
Calling and leaving messages all the time is something people are first compelled to do. If you can just get her on the phone and talk to her you can work this out. When she doesn't pick up you get panicked and start to call her again and again. You send her text messages waiting for a reply. Don't do this. This is bad and will push your ex further away. They will think you are desperate and clingy and not want to have anything to do with you.
You may be thinking of getting another hot girl and flaunting her in front of your ex. By now you probably are well aware of where she likes to hang out and plan the whole event with this other girl to make her jealous. Jealousy, generally, is not going to help you get her back. This approach can have some unforeseen side effects you want to avoid as well. If she sees you with this othergirl she may think you've moved so will not bother trying to patch things up even if she wants to. This approach also doesn't make you look too good either and she will surely note that when she sees you.
There's many more things you shouldn't be doing. If you take a moment and think with your head before your heart jumps in and says "Do this!" you'll be a lot better off in the long run. Your heart's instincts are often wrong right after a break up. The fight between your heart and your intellect is a difficult battle, but you have to be sure what you want to do is beneficial now and in the future. Stay away from these two mistakes and you'll already be in a better boat than people who bombard their ex's with calls and jealousy.
