On a First Date! What to Talk?

A good impression on the first date may lead to second date. In first date one need to know each other on the surface and a little below. Make a comfortable environment that puts your date at ease and don’t let your anxiety approach you. Never ask too private or too controversial questions. Be polite, graceful and well mannered; who knows the right time to speak and right time to listen. On your first date you can talk on different topics such as:

Favorite Food: Everyone have some favorite dish so this topic can not be wrong. Discussing this topic will let you know that weather she loves to cook and prefer home made food or love to go out. You might came to know that your date is a good cook or even don’t know how to boil and egg.

Music: Music is a great topic to start with. Almost everyone listen to the music so try to learn which types of songs your date likes. You can start by inquiring about bands, artists, songs and so on. This can be a good opening statement.

Hobbies: Ask about her hobbies and how she likes to spend her leisure time. This might give good idea what type of person she is: a book worm or have daring nature. Through this you can easily find that your interests are similar or not for a good relationship.

Family: It is always good to ask about a family but try not to get too personal. This will show her interest in her family and you will know if her family has close family ties.

Places: This topic might be very interesting. If she likes travelling then you guys can share lots of experiences by asking lots of details from each other. From this you will know that what kind of climates she likes and what type of life she like a busy city or simplistic country life or blend of both.

Films: Films can create a healthy discussion from the kind of films and about particular actors. She might like to watch adventure or horror movies in contrast to romantic or funny films. This helps gives you to know which type of person you are dating with; the one who lives in fantasy or the one who loves to be live in reality.

Pets: Try to find out what type of pets she likes. Either she likes any or not. If she doesn’t like dogs and you have many then you might have to face a problem.

Try to go slow and just don’t ask dozens of question  in one go. It is not necessary to talk about all the topics mentioned above. Just go slow; let her talk and listen to her very carefully you might get another topic by listening to her. Just try to keep things simple.
