Allan Tan is an experienced writer on seeking dating and relationships. He has been writing for many years and has had many articles published. Some of Allan's most favorite topics to write on include single professionals, mature daters, relationships, and matchmaking. Allan's articles are well written and memorable. They are especially great for anyone looking to begin dating and still keep up with their daily activities.
In prehistoric times, dating was simple. One looked for the attributes desired in a mate - women looked for good providers and men looked for . . whatever it is that men look for. If Snarg was good with a spear, he received a lot of interest from the ladies, and if Bambi had good, child-bearing hips, the spear wielders of the clan set about to win her heart. And hopefully they didn't kill each other in the process. But the modern world has presented us with a conundrum; spear wielders can Photoshop themselves standing on the carcass of King Mammoth, and childbearing hip wielders can show a little cleavage and use their weight from high school. It's just a little white lie, right? Well, some of us just don't have the time or patience to play elimination games. I myself have driven nearly 100 miles to meet a healthy (not skinny) potential soulmate, only to find that she'd neglected to admit the 100 lbs of weight gain since the photo was taken, and that the ASPCA was on the way to take at least 40 of her cats, leaving her with only 15 for company. And if someone is unwilling or unable to be truthful at the superficial beginning of a relationship, what are they going to be like 10 years down the road? Are they going to be truthful about who the father of your child is? Why do this to yourself - you deserve better! People spend time researching all kinds of crass personal items - cell phones, cars, etc. , or they read articles about research done on these items. They are letting others do the legwork, while reserving the final decision for themselves. And really, why should dating be different? There are over 3 billion people of the opposite sex out there (or same sex, if that's your orientation), and you dramatically decrease your odds of finding the keepers if you don't enlist help. That's where a matchmaker comes in. A matchmaker has the skills and resources to find in weeks what would take the average person more then a lifetime to look through. They may be able to see the qualities in others that you desire in a mate, even if you don't. The can eliminate the chaff and connect you with only the wheat, saving you time, money, and heartache. And even if one doesn't work out, they can find a new match within minutes, eliminating all those trips to singles bars. In modern life, we hire professionals to do the things we need help with - fix our plumbing, write a will, or even find insurance. Hire a professional matchmaker, and years from now, when it's just you and him/her by the fireplace, you'll be glad you did.

By: Allan Tan | 12/10/2009 | DatingI find that statistic way too low! I have attempted dating via match.com and E harmony. By: Allan Tan | 12/10/2009 | DatingRomance Pros are professionals whose job is to make matches that are all compatible. They do this by first getting to know their clients personally. Dream Makers of Romance
By: Allan Tan | 12/10/2009 | DatingThere is almost no profession that is subject to so many radically different interpretations as that of matchmakers. Hollywood has depicted them as having an almost supernatural ability to fulfill people's wildest dreams. The print media, on the other hand, usually gives us a very different story. Matchmakers usually make the headlines only when they or their clients have committed some atrocious crime. What's the truth? Are matchmaker's like Romance Pros, devils or angels?
