Should I Date Younger Men?

The first thing to recognize when it comes to dating younger men is that everyone is different. Some women adore older men, some can't resist younger men, some don't care about age and others favor their partner to be about the equivalent age.

Five years might not seem like a great deal of a difference but what about if your boyfriend is ten years younger?

He will like different kind of music, different movies favorite, and different fashions. He has been brought up in a different kind of culture.

This might make things further interesting except it can also lead to troubles if you cannot see eye to eye on certain things.

There are rewards and disadvantages to dating younger men. It is not easy not to try and indulgence him in a maternal approach. Also, you might be anxious he is might "leave you for someone his own age".

That most likely won't occur. He doesn't lose sleep that you'll leave him for someone of your own age! If a few dates turn to something a little bit more serious, you should discuss children. If you don't want any more you have to be honest. He might have other plans.

Older women look better lately thanks to the gyms and beauty products. There is a superior divorce rate that several women want to have fun after the stress of their divorces and dating younger men is a possible way to do that. Fewer women today want the traditional picket white fence and two cars in the driveway. They only desire to enjoy themselves.

Moreover, if a woman dates a younger man, she migh
t decide to advance her career and let her man take care of the house and any children. If he is youthful, without his own career, he won't mind so much.

You do need to be practical when dating someone a few years younger than yourself. For instance, if you have kids, is he going to get on with them? How will they feel about him?

If he is a year or two older than them, they might find the situation very strange. As you get older, you might feel less self-confident because you'll notice every day new wrinkles on your face as possible reasons for him to leave you.

If he does, it will probably be related to your own insecurity rather than your looks (after all, he chose to be with you, wrinkles and all!)
What will you chat about?

Your tastes and life backgrounds might be different and what seems exotic one day might result in frustration the next, as you realize you do not have what is essential in common.

Dating younger men could make you feel older, as you become conscious you have no idea what he's talking about half the time.

Another thing to put up with is the attitude of your friends and family. Your friends will probably wish for you to be happy but be apprehensive about your new boyfriend.

They will question if he is using you and will run off with a younger woman. Your family will perhaps feel the same way. No matter what other people think, it is eventually your choice whom you're dating.

If you feel at ease dating younger men, go for it! It might not be simple sailing but, as a matter of fact, most relationships have their difficult moments. If it feels right, do it - and have great fun!

Weird son mother relationship
By: meme | 20-07-2008
I was just wondering if anyone has been through this before and how they handled it. My husband is a good man, father, and all around good person but his relationship with his mother seems a little strange to me, he is constantly calling her, sometimes refers to her a mommy, holds her hand in public and on several different occasions one when we were in public with my parents having dinner  people were staring because he focused all attention on his mother making it a point to sit with her at the table and holding her hand, I felt as if he was on a date with her and from the looks we were receiving I think other people thought that to. He caters to her every need and rushes me through visits with my family so that we can go to her house (we live in the next state from them all). Does anyone have any advice for me my husband is in his forties and is not an only child nor the only boy....Is it just me or is this weird, he also baby talks to her, and now I am noticing he is doing the same thing to his two kids who are 11-14 (girl and boy).
