Perhaps you have already broken up with your ex boyfriend or girlfriend but you still care about him/her. On one hand, you want to get back together with him/her. Yet, on the other hand, you are thinking whether you should get back together with your ex. You are very confused now, so what should you do? How can you come up with a good decision?
Well, there are no hard and fast rules, but you may want to consider the following guidelines.
1) What causes your break up?
Maybe, the break up is just caused by a minor argument. One of you blurted something out during a fit of anger. "Ok, let's break up since we can't agree with each other."
Of course, the person who suggested the break up regretted it. If this is your situation, then it is such a pity to break up. Usually, a simple apology will help you get your ex back in this situation.
Obviously there are some other factors that you will want to consider. Are there a lot of such minor arguments? If both of you argue very often, you seriously need to find out the root of the problem.
2) Are there more happy times than sad times
If most of the time, both of you are very happy together, then you may not want to give up your relationship so easily.
3) Is he/she still interested
It takes two hands to clap. If he/she has decided to let go of this relationship forever, it is quite hard for you to do anything about it.
4) Are both of you willing to tackle the root of the problem?
Just like what is being mentioned above, there are probably some root problems that cause your break up. Perhaps, the solution to this problem is that both of you have to be willing to change. Are you willing to change? Is your partner willing to change?
