So You Want to Know How to Get Your Ex Girlfriend Back

It happens to countless thousands upon thousands of couples every year, for some reason or another they breakup.  It sucks but it happens and for more of those couples one or the other in the relationship is going to want to get back together and try to work things out.  In a perfect world, both involved will want to try to reconcile but sometimes we don't live in a perfect world.

If you've found yourself in a situation where you and your girlfriend have broken up and she isn't showing any signs that she wants to get back together, there are a couple of things you should immediately get started doing.  In fact, before you even begin trying to resume contact of any kind it's important to get started on these steps.

First, you need to take a look at why the two of you broke up in the first place and figure out exactly what your role in this was.  I'm not saying to find a reason to take one hundred percent of the blame for the breakup but you need to recognize that unless there was infidelity or other deception, you did have something to do with what happened.  If there was infidelity or deception and you were the one who stepped out, then you absolutely need to take responsibility for those actions without placing any blame on your ex girlfriend.  There are no if's, and's or but's about that part.

Once you've recognized your faults that had their part in breaking the two of you up, you need to come to terms with them and to basically forgive yourself for whatever part you played.  After all, it's hard to get someone else to forgive you if you can't forgive yourself.  This isn't to say that you should forgive yourself and forget the lesson this teaches.  The lesson this teaches is vitally important to learn and grasp so you can prevent it from creating similar issues in the future.

I know it sounds a little hokie and maybe a bit cheesy but it's important to do this and to do this without letting your pride get in the way and trip you up because when you and your ex do resume any form of communication it will go a long way to showing her that your pride isn't more important than she is.  Showing her this, that her and her feelings are important enough to you for you to swallow your pride will go a long way to helping you get your ex girlfriend back and the smiles that go along with that.
