So you are trying on-line dating, tried meeting friends of friends and dating work buddies, but are not enjoying the dating game? You need to star by changing the way you think.
Attitude goes hand-in-hand with confidence. So stop with the self pity, it is not doing you any good. A negative attitude is simply a bad habit you have got into, and it’s going to take a little bit of effort to break it. Once you do, for sure new dating doors will open. You must change your attitude and let go of your emotional baggage. If you are still bitter over a traumatic breakup or divorce, you can forget about attracting anyone into your life. Even if you do manage to, you’ll shortly run them off with your tendency to unfairly take out your frustrations from past relationships on them.
If you are stuck in the past you will react to situations as if you are looking in to a mirror and over-react and pre-empt situations taking them out of proportion spoiling what you have now though you won’t even see it and will think the other person is in the wrong. Turn that bitterness around. Instead of harbouring resentments about your old relationships, examine them and look at and work out what you have learnt.
So try as hard as you can to clear your mind of negative thoughts about dating. No more telling yourself about how there is no one out there for you. That kind of negative self-talk will only make you desperate. Replace those old thoughts with new ones, Tell yourself: There is someone out there who is perfect for me! I could very well meet that person today! Even if you don’t yet believe it, keep saying it and eventually it will start to sound more and more true to you.
