The good thing about Home Teeth Whitening is that you already have the trays so if you need to top up your colour in 12 months time all you need to do is buy some more whitening gel. Zoom Whitening is done at the dental practice and takes approximately 1-2hours. Gel is applied to your teeth and a special Zoom Laser is aimed above to activate the gel. This is done 3 times in 20 minute intervals. Your teeth can whiten up to 8-10 shades. It is recommended that you follow Zoom Whitening up with Home Whitening just to maintain the colour.
The other more popular type of Cosmetic Dentistry is Porcelain Veneers. Porcelain Veneers are a thin porcelain covering. They change the shape and colour of your teeth. It takes approximately 4 appointments for your treatment to be completed. Minimal preparation is done to your teeth and impressions taken. The Cosmetic Dentist and Ceramist Technician work together to give you the perfect smile. You leave the practice with temporaries that replicate your new Porcelain Veneers. Two weeks later your Porcelain Veneers are fitted. With Dental Crowns the principle is the same. Your teeth are prepared, impression taken and temporaries fitted. Two weeks later your Dental Crowns are fitted.
Some Cosmetic Dentists offer Facial Fillers and Botox too. This compliments the Cosmetic Dentistry the patients have had done.
