Keep your mouth healthy – how to avoid blisters
The disease of the oral mucosa takes a vast place amongst all other diseases regarding the frequency of its manifestation, and is characteristic with typical rash called aphthae. Fully developed aphthae is a round, oval or polygonal erosion of the surface or a little ulcer, as big as lentil grain, which looks like a blister. The central part of the aphtae is covered with a white-yellowish circle and the periphery has a bright red surface. Blisters, which are repeated chronically, are a disease of the mouth. They are evolving like strictly limited injury, which is positioned at the level at the mucosa or they are a little concave. The numbers of the aphataes, which may be seen at an exact moment, usually do not exceed three or four. The evolution of a separate blister takes from six to seven days and for that time it will be gone without leaving a scar. The general duration of the disease, however is longer, because some blisters go away and some are starting to appear. The aphtaes are positioned mostly at the mucosa near the cheeks, the lips, under and on the edge of the tongue. They are a lot painful especially at contact and when eating. Any person may get blisters independently from the age or the sex. The cause of their appearance is unknown. Despite that, many expert opinions say that you may receive them from viral infections, nervous tension, and disturbance in the digestive system or from other bacterial outbreaks.
At presence of blisters in your mouth it is necessary to eat regularly, you must avoid spices, salty or appetizing foods. The food must be as messy as possible. The stomach and the intestines must be kept regular and you must heal the bacterial outbreaks if there are any present. There is no specific medical treatment. For a local treatment you may use coatings with 3% solution of borax in glycerin, gargles with tea from chamomile or swill of the mouth with solution of baking soda in consistency – one tea spoon at one cup of water. The food that you eat must be rich in vitamin C, B1 and B12.
Generally, to avoid blisters in your mouth you must start to think of your mouth hygiene. Clean well your food before consuming it. If you eat fruits and vegetables, remove their skin. Eat as many as possible homemade dishes and try to avoid eating outside. Also you may get blisters from other people through oral contact so pay attention to the condition of the mouth of your partner. Despite that even if you follow all the requirements and advices you may also get blisters from other source that is not known to the medicine. Your personal doctor may be another good source for advices to decrease the chances of having a blister in the mouth.
