Face is the index of the mind - this is a saying which is very much related to our day to day life. It means by seeing the face we can read the mind. People who are conscious of their facial look will be eager to maintain their teeth properly and keep them hygienic and bright. If the teeth lose their brightness, the people can undergo a treatment for whitening them.
To choose a best option is a bit difficult and especially confusing. There are many methods for whitening the teeth. Laser tooth whitening treatment works well, but the cost is too high; this is because of the service rendered on this treatment. After the treatment the teeth will look very bright than before and it can be noticed very easily and the brightness will last for a long time.
In this treatment the main item used is a beam of light which is known as laser. The process of laser teeth whitening is as follows:
First and foremost thing done by the dentist is to protect the gum to avoid the contact with the whitening gel.
Then he will apply the gel in the front teeth.
Next step is to apply the beam of light to the front teeth.
By applying the beam light it helps to activate the gel.
Thus the activated gel will act on the discolorations on the teeth.
This process can be done within an hour and it will not take much time like other tooth whitening methods. The whiteness which takes place after laser tooth whitening last for more than a year and sometimes even for a longer period preferably if the teeth are washed every time after the meal is taken, to be more specific if they are well maintained. Mainly through this laser treatment it helps to remove the brown and yellow stains are removed. Before doing the laser treatment the patient must discuss with his dentist on which treatment will be appropriate. In-office laser treatment is done by using whitening gel as an in-office bleaching system.
In laser teeth whitening, it is possible to see the results immediately as it is the quickest way of whitening the teeth. The main purpose of laser treatment is to pick up the process by activating the gel. This treatment can be done in one sitting and it might need more than one sitting if there are more stains in the teeth. But as discussed before, this treatment is very much expensive.

Front Tooth Root Canal
By: abc0702 | 25-04-2008
I have a front tooth that is slightly discolored and my dentist states it is due to trauma to that tooth and that the nerve chamber is small. She recommends I get a root canal and then we can internally bleach that tooth and whiten the rest with home trays. Should I do the root canal or just try the trays to see if it will lighten up that tooth. Just because the chamber for the tooth is small...does that constitute the need for a root canal?
