Teeth discoloration is a part of our life. No matter how much you try to take steps to maintain hygiene and how well you are versed with the oral health care tips, you will develop some stains over the years as a result of the foods you eat, medications you take and other lifestyle habits, such as smoking, drinking and tobacco consumption.

As teeth whitening has become a basic need of human begins today, more and more people are drawn to the different choices available. Starting from the range of whiteners, whitening gels, whitening strips and kits, there are innumerable options today. However, the best is the laser teeth whitening treatment.

Lasers use breakthrough technology to remove the stains from the surface of your teeth, including plaque and tartar to give you a glowing white smile. Although it is an expensive procedure today, people are using laser teeth whitening treatment for the simple reason that it produces long-lasting results. For most laser users, their whiteness has lasted for over 5 years with some additional precautionary measures being taken.

There is a remarkable difference between the conventional methods of whitening and laser treatment. While conventional whitening measures usually involve the use of custom-made trays containing bleaching gel or some other options like whitening strips, the process using laser is much easier and convenient for people.

When you are using the conventional whitening measures, it will take at least 5 to 14 days time for the result to show. Most of these treatments contain slow-acting Carbamide peroxide gel as the base bleaching ingredient that will have to stay on for long so that proper oxidation takes place.

On the contrary, the lasers can produce the desired whiteness almost immediately. It takes approximately 60 minutes for the complete process and you are ready to go back home with dazzling white set of teeth. The method of teeth whitening using laser involves the use of highly reactive hydrogen peroxide gel that needs to be applied on to the surface of the tooth and the laser is beamed on this bleaching compound to speed up the process of oxidation. This actually leads to the quick result from this method of whitening.

No matter how many methods of whitening you have seen, you will have to agree that lasers are the best.
