The name itself conjures up images of mystique. The place that was named the ‘dark Continent’. The place where civilisation was unknown and tribal and indigenous people roamed freely. The repository of unusual animals, both beautiful and ferocious. Such is the land that has attracted scores of people all through history and continues to do so even today. Also, it is possible that almost all of us can, in some way or another, trace our roots to this landmass; the continent of Africa.
