Agra City Tour

Agra is a city on the banks of the river Yamuna in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the most visited cities of India because of the panoramic and mesmerizing beauty of Mughal architectures in general and the grandeur of Taj Mahal in specific. This place was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1526 to 1658 which blessed this city with arrays of Mughal architectural buildings. The Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri and Red Fort are three prominent attractions of Agra Tour which are also UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These architectural buildings are the living testimonials of the Mughal dynasty who this country for centuries.

Taj Mahal:

This is the mausoleum which was built by the Muhgal Emperor Shah Jahan as a tribute of romance with his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is among the Seven Wonders of the World which summons scores of tourists round the year. This undying symbol of Mughal romance is made up of white marble. It took 22 years to be built by 20,000 skilled artisans. This monument of great beauty is famous its Herringbone pattern, Arch of Jali, intricate pierce work and Inlay details. The architectural pattern of Taj Mahal is the perfect example of Indo-Islamic architectures. The walls are adorned with inlay decorations, lattice work and calligraphic representations.

Fatehpur Sikri:

This is another prominent Tourist Places in Agra which is visited by scores of tourists during their Agra Tour. It is among the most spectacular forts of India which was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 16th century. Fatehpur Sikri means the City of Victory which served as the ruling seat for several Mughal Emperors for 10 years. This fort is an example of architectural supremacy which enthralls tourists through its magnificent constructions, design, decorations and rich collection of yesteryear artifacts. The lavish complex of this fort is divided into several temples, monuments, palaces, and magnificent gates. Some of the prominent attractions of this fort are Daulat khana-I-khas, Diwan-khana-I-khaas, Diwan-I-Am, Nagina Masjid, Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaza, Hawa Mahal, Nagina Masjid and Hawa Mahal.

Sikandara:

This is the mausoleum of the great Mughal Emperor Akbar. The architectural beauty of this grand structure reflects the perfect blend of Hindu, Christian, Islamic, Buddhist and Jain designs and motifs. There are beautiful calligraphic inscriptions on the white marble wall of this tomb highlights the religious tolerance and preaching of Akbar.

Some of the other well-known attractions of this place are Red Fort, Chini-Ka-Rauza, Dayal Bagh Temple, Ram Bagh and Mariyam Tomb.
