Are you looking for the best Florida beaches to visit? Florida beaches have consistently ranked as the top beaches in America. In fact, just thinking about Florida, conjures up images of beautiful, pristine beaches, with fluffy, white sand, and emerald or turquoise colored water. While no two people can probably agree on which Florida beach is the best, here are some of the ones that make our top list, on the Gulf of Mexico. So get ready to walk barefoot and feel the sand squeezing up between your toes, as you enjoy the surf crashing up on the beach.
Caladesi Island State Park
Caladesi is clearly one of the best beaches in Florida. This state park is made up of natural islands along Florida's Gulf Coast, and offers beautiful, white sandy beaches. There is a 3 mile nature trail, a 108-slip marina, picnic pavilions, bathhouses, a playground, and park concessions. Located near Dunedin, Florida, the park is accessible only by private boat or ferry from Honeymoon Island State Park.
St. Andrews State Park
St. Andrews is well know for its clean white sands and emerald green waters. It has over one and a half miles of beaches, and those interested in fishing will appreciate the two fishing piers, a jetty, and the boat ramp. A concession stand offers snacks and fishing amenities. Enjoy kayaking, canoeing, swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving, along with hiking, bird-watching and other activities. Full-facility campsites are also available. Located near Panama City, Florida.
Grayton Beach State Park
Grayton Beach offers sugar white beaches, cabins, and full-facility campgrounds, and has consistently ranked among the most beautiful beaches in America. Most of the park is ADA accessible. Activities include sunbathing, swimming, surf fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Plus, there are over 4 miles of trails for hikers and bicyclists to enjoy. Located near Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
St. Joseph Peninsula State Park
This park offers ten miles of white sandy beaches and over 240 species of birds for bird watchers. Enjoy sunbathing, snorkeling, swimming, fishing, hiking and biking. For those who like to camp or stay overnight, there is a full-facility campground, and eight cabins on the bay. Located near Port St. Joe, Florida.
This is just a few of the best Florida beaches. There are many more beaches in Florida to choose from, and there are some great Florida beaches over on the Atlantic Ocean. Make plans to take your family to the beach this summer, and relax in the sun, swim, or work on a sand castle together - you will be glad that you did. Have a great trip!
