Last year we with our friends decided to visit Kerala – one of the most beautiful states of India and globally famous tourist destination. We book a 9 Nights – 10 Days package with a Delhi based tour operator. Cochin, Munnar, Periyar and Alleyppey were the destinations of our tour package. It was fulfilling our desires of exploring beaches, backwaters, hill stations, wildlife etc. Beaches, backwaters, hill stations, wildlife, etc are some what which for Kerala is known internationally.
Tourists from all over the world visit this exotic land of Kerala, curving alongside the sapphire Arabian Sea and explore its breathtaking beaches, scenic backwaters, nature abundant hill stations, and exotic wildlife. None of us have ever made tours in Kerala before. But we have well heard about it and its worth deserving attractions.
We were very excited before Kerala tour. We from Delhi arrived in Cochin from Hazrat Nizamuddin Ernakulam Express. It was about 51 hour long journey. A 51 hour journey may be very boring and irritating but we made it delightful. As we are in group of 8 boys we enjoyed whole our journey lots. We had cards with us and we enjoyed playing cards lots also…Thanks for our cards. Sometimes we also enjoyed Antarakshri (a game of songs).
Jashlok and Amish sing very well. So, they enjoyed us with their melodious songs on the train journey to Cochin. We were also very excited about when we would arrive in Cochin. Finally our excitement ended at Cochin station. Now we were on the Ernakulam Station Platform. Very soon we saw a representative from our Kerala tour package provider with placard. He greeted us and transferred us to the well-maintained and luxurious hotel by AC Indica. At hotel receptions we were greeted with flower garlands. We enjoyed welcome dinner with soft drinks. We had a comfortable night at the hotel.
With the daybreak everyone started tossing there feet along with music. We enjoyed sumptuous breakfast at the hotel and leave hotel for sightseeing tours in Cochin. At first we visit to the Cherai Beach. The beach was beautiful and ideal for swimming. We enjoyed swimming. “Sometimes dolphins can be spotted at Cherai”, told our guide. Later we visit St. Francis Church and Mattancherry Dutch Place. In the evening our guide takes us to Backwaters. We visit here world famous Chinese Fishing Nets. We captured beautiful picture of setting sun over the Chinese Fishing Nets. In time we return to hotel and enjoyed traditional south Indian hotel. We spend night at comfortable.
Our next destination was Munnar. At Munnar we stay for two days. We enjoyed Munnar lots. It is the most popular and beautiful hill stations of India. It is also very popular destination of Kerala honeymoon tour. It is dotted with exceptional nature beauty. We captured several beautiful sights of Munnar in our cameras. We also visit Munnar tea gardens. Next we arrive to Periyar to visit famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and Tiger Reserve. We enjoyed boat cruise on Periyar Lake to view the attractions of wildlife sanctuary.
After Periyar we all were to taken to Alleppey next morning. At Alleppey we stay for three days. We explore the beautiful landscapes in and around Alleppey. Alleppey is basically famous for scenic backwaters so we spend our days exploring the breathtaking backwaters. At last day at Alleppey we board on a houseboat. Accommodation at the Houseboat was excellent. It was a very delightful experience of houseboat stay. We spend whole night onboard. Next day houseboat takes us Cochin. At Cochin we made some shopping. After a farewell party we all were transferred to the railway station. We came back to Delhi. It was very delightful experience of tour to Kerala, God’s Own Country.
