Florida "secluded" Beaches

Cayo Costa State Park, FL

If you truly want to get away from it all Cayo Costa State Park is located on a Barrier Island on the Gulf of Mexico with nine miles of beaches. Bring your camper or tent, the island is only accessible by private boat or ferry. Enjoy a relaxing, secluded vacation surrounded by Pine Forests, Oak Palm Hammocks, Nature Trails, Mangrove Swamps and more. Rent a Cabin for about $30 a night or set up tent. Come prepared though because this is the ultimate seclusion. There is bathrooms and showers available and a small concession in the area. Shelling is good in the Winter months especially on the south end of the island. Anglers will enjoy fishing. Bird watchers will fall in love with this island. Watch dolphins, see manatees, go hiking. This is a great place to have a family vacation too. The kids will want to go back year after year. A true getaway from it all and the ultimate seclusion.
