Every couple needs some time away from their "real" life to reconnect and refresh their relationship. The state of Georgia offers a wide variety of destinations that are perfect for a romantic weekend away, no matter what your own personal preferences and desires are. From small cities to large cities and every town in between, you will find that there is a great deal of variety in destinations and activities across the state of Georgia.
In Northwest Georgia, nestled right up next to Chattanooga, Tennessee, you will find Lookout Mountain, Fort Oglethorpe, and Rossville, Georgia. Lookout Mountain is known for Ruby Falls, which is a waterfall that is located deep in the mountain, and Rock City, where you can enjoy the beautiful rock formations, gardens, and you can even see seven states. Lookout Mountain also offers other activities as well, including hiking, hang gliding, and more.
Fort Oglethorpe was a military training post during World War II and is the gateway to the Chickamauga National Park that was a hot spot during the Civil War. Rossville, Georgia is named after Cherokee Chief John Ross and is still the location of his preserved home. Northwest Georgia offers many great restaurants, accommodations, and activities for you and your partner, no matter what your interests are.
In Northeast Georgia, you will find many of the mountain destinations. From Helen to Dahlonega to Blue Ridge, this area of Georgia features beautiful vistas, great restaurants, and fun activities. From hiking to bike riding to sightseeing and more, the Northeast Georgia mountain area will give you a great deal to do.
If you do not want to do anything, you will be happy to know that you can do just that in the mountains. Curl up in front of the television or fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa and just enjoy being together in your cabin. The key is to find the type of location that best fits your own preferences.
In Southeast Georgia, you can visit the beach, the swamp, go antiquing, or sit and relax. Savannah, Tybee Island, and St. Simons Island are just a few of the destinations that you should consider for your romantic getaway. You will find just the right accommodations for you, from condominiums to hotels to homes, as well as all different types of restaurants for the two of you to enjoy.
Whether you just want to hang out together on the beach or do some fun activities, you will find exactly what you want for your romantic getaway weekend. Georgia is a large state that has many destinations that will work for a romantic trip away from your normal life. Time away is one of the best ways to refresh your relationship and allow you the time you need to communicate and reconnect. By planning a trip together, you can begin the process of getting to know it each all over again to help strengthen your relationship and your love. What could be better?
